Business analysis

Business analysis can make or break an organisation, so it’s important to ensure the people performing the analysis have proven expertise.
Pearson Trueman & Associates knows how to conduct business analysis effectively because we know what we are looking for. We recognise the impact and importance of drawing the right conclusions from what we find. Not only that, we identify the correct action to take based on the business analysis drivers and then structure our approach accordingly.
We’re focussed.
We acknowledge that no matter how skilled people may be creatively, if their focus is weak, the results will be weak or even useless. That’s why we equip our people with the tools, skills and the knowledge to deliver sound business analysis. We look for:
Improvement: anything and everything can be improved. There is potential improvement in directions such as speed, simplicity and cost, or reducing waste. We consider the impact of the value sought. For example, if the improvement sought is speed, such as faster processing, the impact may be higher cost. Will the proposed simplification increase costs or narrow the flexibility of the process?
Forecasting: looking ahead always requires creativity. We analyse trends and supplement these with creative possibilities by imagining how people and organisations will react to changes identified. We construct and examine multiple scenarios.
Decisions and alternatives: we make sure the decision-making process is not just based upon a list of fixed alternatives upon which to make a decision. We work with you to identify alternatives and measures to determine the success of decisions made.
Data interpretation: usually data has an obvious interpretation. We don’t just look for the obvious meaning; we make the effort to find alternative interpretations of the data to find other possible explanations. We use that interpretation to make decisions and design strategies.
In the end, it comes down to two questions:
1. What do we want to do?
2. How do we do what we want to do?
